The Calthorpe Residents Society, is an independent, voluntary group founded over 40 years ago to represent the residents of the Calthorpe Estates. They work as a body to communicate between groups and individuals of the estate and campaign on issues of local concern. They have over 300 members!
With an increase of burglaries and crime in Edgbaston the residents of Calthorpe Estates were looking for advice on how to make their homes safer. Calthorpe Residents Society approached Watch Systems Ltd to work in co-operation and create a Home Security Self-Assessment document, which you can download here. This Self-assessment document is not an exhaustive assessment, it’s just a quick check to see if basic security measures are in place.
As we are the managing security provider for the Edgbaston Estates Public Space CCTV System Scheme for Calthorpe Estates it was fantastic to work alongside the Residents Society, to develop our strong relationships across the estate further.
Following the development of the Home Security Self-Assessment, we were delighted to be asked to exhibit at the Calthorpe Residents’ Society AGM and be a helping hand on advice for the residents on their home security queries.
It was a fantastic turn out for the AGM and the residents responded positively towards the survey and all of our assessment documents were gone by the end! We loved hearing Andy Street the Mayor of the West Midlands talk all about the issues of traffic and parking across the estate and wider Birmingham.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us for a free, no obligation assessment of your home or business, as we can recommend solutions to suit your circumstances and budget.
