We had a fantastic time at Europe’s leading security event – IFSEC International 2018.

It was a 3 day event held at ExCel London on the 19th-21stJune 2018.

Simon attended the integrated security show which is designed around the needs of the global security industry. With over 550 exhibitors and over 27,000 visitors from around the world it is the world’s most dedicated security event.

With opportunities of sourcing new security equipment including access control, video surveillance, biometrics, intruder alarms, integrated security, IT, Cyber and physical security.

This event is fantastic to spark up conversation with like-minded industry experts and keep up with current security trends, with areas such as cyber criminality, CCTV and emergent threats being at the tip of everyone’s tongue. It’s a great place to come together and share points and processes on how to safeguard our security services further.

We were particularly impressed by the HIKVISION’s Artificial intelligence deep learning exhibit. This product could be the future in reducing false alarms as currently false alarms account for 94-99% of all alarms according to the police and fire statistics.

Deep learning is complex artificial intelligence product, it has the ability to enhance the recognition of human beings, being able to distinguish them from animals and other objects. This model has a much deeper structure than traditional algorithms. Preventing frequent false alarms without objects such as animals, leaves or even light setting them off.

We find it extremely important to attend these events, to ensure we constantly continue to innovate and develop with the everchanging security industry.
